About the Society...
In 1988 the capital markets credit community
perceived the need to establish a professional analysts association. As a
consequence, the Capital Markets Credit Analysts Society, Inc. (CMCAS) was
incorporated in 1989 as a not-for-profit
organization.
CMCAS is not a trade association.
Members primarily consist of managers and analysts of credit risk
departments – typically banks and broker/dealers nationwide – which
directly support their employers’ capital market activities, most notably
U.S. Treasury and Agency obligations, repurchase and reverse repurchase
agreements, mortgage backed securities, stock loan/borrow, options and
foreign exchange.
CMCAS . . .
- Provides its members with opportunities to broaden their
understanding of events impacting capital markets activities
- Assists members seeking continuing education to keep abreast of
issues affecting their profession
- Provides ethical standards for the guidance of its members in their
relations with each other and with the public
- Promotes and communicates on a global basis, standards and best
practices
- Facilitates a forum for the exchange of ideas among credit
professionals, regulatory authorities and the financial community
The Society is always attempting to achieve its goals by
attracting the best and most appropriate guests for its educational
events. To this end, the Society offers frequent topical seminars and
educational programs to its membership, with the aim of attracting guest
speakers and panelists who are renowned experts in their respective
fields. Secret Login |
